Sam is a 6 year old springer spaniel. Sam is a sweet but nervous boy who is looking for a home with children aged 14 and above. He is happy to walk past dogs out and about but would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Sam is a dog who loves his people once he has a bond and will need understanding and patient owners able to help him build up the time he is comfortable being left on his own. He would love access to his own garden where he can play with his toys!

Sam is a very sweet boy who loves a cuddle! He builds bonds quickly and loves to spend time with his people. Sam is easily overwhelmed in new places and will need experienced owners who are willing to work on his confidence. Sam loves playing with his toys and will need access to his own garden for off lead exercise. He would love a quiet home where he can work on his confidence and people who are at home most of the day to spend time with him. He is happy to jump in the car to head off for adventures, and once out on walks loves a good sniff! Sam is fully housetrained and is currently enjoying life in a foster home.

Springer Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Springer Spaniel.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
