Ranger's ideal home

We are looking for an active, adult-only home for Ranger. His new home will need to be a quieter household with not too many frequent visitors and minimal leaving hours while he is settling in. Ranger cannot live with cats or other small furry animals but could live with another dog providing meets at the centre went well. Ranger would benefit from having a secure, private garden but could possibly be rehomed to a shared garden, providing it was secure.

Ranger is one-year-old Springer Spaniel who was handed over to us after his previous owner's circumstances changed. He is a young, active boy who loves playing with his toys and exploring using his nose! Ranger also likes interacting with people he knows and other dogs. Ranger is worried by strangers, especially men and doesn't like being left on his own. He will need his adopters to be happy and committed to continuing his training and management to ensure he isn't put in situations he can't cope with.

Springer Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Springer Spaniel.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
