Looking for a home..



Hello this is Jasper he is 8.5 years old. I rescued jasper 1year ago after he was rehomed to somebody that abused him. Jasper is a lovely calm dog however after the previous trauma he has had he has separation aniexty, doesn't not like children or other dogs or small spaces/closed doors. With Jasper being an older dog my intention was to try my best to keep him and rehabilitate him however I work long hours, I am single girl, all though he has a dog sitter it's still not enough.



Jasper is very well loved. I wouldn't re-home him to a home that is not right for him and I am looking for a home that is an older retired couple, or someone between 40+ who may like a companion with no visiting children under 13.



Jasper's personality- for a springer spaniel is extremely calm, Id as I like to say.. he is his own man likes his own space and I personally nicked named him Sheldon because he has his own spot on the couch.

Jasper loves adventures, he is a brilliant traveller aslong as he's on the back seat with you. He loves long walks, the beach and is a brilliant swimmer. Jasper also loves the pub. He likes the hustle and bustle but isn't the type of dog that wants to be petted by everyone, all he wants is to be with you, fall asleep and take in the environment. I am a musician and Jazz has been my little mascot over the time I've had him and he just loves to sit with me and watch me play.



When I first got Jazz he had a shoe fetish, I'd come home he jump once to say hello and then run round the house like a lunatic trying to find my shoes. Now he has plenty of toys he will find you something to bring to you.



Jasper sleeps where you tell him. He understands everything you say and is very obedient. He is happy to sleep on the end of the bed or in his bed or on the floor. He isn't the type of dog that will wake you up at the crack of dawn to be fed or watered. He is happy to sleep aslong as you are sleeping. On morning he will come and greet you and lay on you. If your lucky he might give you a kiss. Jasper shows subtle affection, he does not like kisses around his face but if he gives you his paw he kisses your hand like a pure gentleman.



I've had to teach jasper to trust, I've give him alot of love and affection and we have created some brilliant memories.. ideally it would be best to keep him but on my own it is very difficult and I know he would be better suited to someone older with a quiet, calm but active lifestyle. Or potentially someone who works from home who has zero intentions of having a family.

I don't want up for anything less than this fab boy deserves and anybody who would be interested in jasper would have to understand that they would be vetted. And would have to spend some time with Jasper, to allow him to get to know you and you him. I don't want this dog ever to feel abandoned. He is so sweet and loving xx
