Noel

Noel's ideal home

Noel is looking for an active home, preferably in a more rural location in a household that is calm and predictable with adopters who are willing to do lots of training and fun games with him. He can live with sensible children aged 16 years and over who are confident around high energy and bouncy dogs and who will give him space when he needs it. Although not essential, Noel could live with another dog that has a similar play style as him and he would benefit from walking friends who will want to say a happy hello and then do lots of sniffing with him. Noel cannot live with cats or small furries. Although he knows how to sit, he is often a bit too excited to perform it every time he is asked, so he would benefit from owners who are prepared to go right back to basics with him including undertaking his housetraining so he will need his own secure garden for this and to potter, play and sniff in. Noel would like lots of human company in his new home as he does struggle to be left on his own. He will need gradual introduction to being left alone, building slowly so he feels comfortable and confident. He would benefit from having minimal visitors when he first goes home so that he can settle in to his new environment. He is a little unsettled in the car but jumps in and out by himself without a problem. Noel will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home and he may need visits from our behaviour team once he goes home so adopters will need to live within 45 minutes driving distance from the Canterbury Rehoming Centre so please bear this in mind prior to applying for him. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Could you be Noel's perfect match?

Noel is a busy, wiggly, waggy 3 and a half year old Springer Spaniel who loves to sniff! Although he can be a little bit nervous, he is a typical energetic Springer, always on the go and does everything with the waggiest tail – it never stops! He is a busy boy who will benefit from owners who will do fun training and games that fulfil his breed traits like sniffing tasks and find it games to keep his brain occupied and keep that lovely tail wagging away! He loves playing games, especially if there is a tennis ball around, he will zoom off after it and then carry it around proudly in his mouth. He is very agile and loves jumping up and climbing around on our agility equipment at the centre, so he likely has huge potential for learning lots of super cool tricks in his new home. Noel is such a delightful little guy with so much love to give, he will be a fun, adventurous and happy addition to a very lucky home.
